Hi, y'all!
My Fam has called me Bean and several variations of that nickname since I was very young. According to my mom, I was a very long, thin child when I was born, so the nickname "String Bean" came early and simply stuck. :o)
I'm originally from the South and am very proud to be a Southern Belle, so to speak. I'm currently writing my dissertation in Medieval Literature and Folklore at a southern university and am stationed overseas with the best military in the world: the United States Army. I am proud to serve my country even in the worst of times. Afterall, she is my motherland.

Anyhoo, this is my blog, and I hope you find something in it that is interesting and valuable to you. I write here as a way to express my views on a myriad of topics, and as a way to celebrate the happy times and to work through the troubling times in my own life. You may or may not agree with me on everything, but, hey, thank goodness this is America because that's ok here!
